Thousands of Qld buildings cleared in cladding probe
The Queensland Government has cleared nearly 14,000 private buildings of cladding issues.
The audit was established last year to make sure all buildings meet safety requirements and inform residents if buildings do not. It has two more years to run.
The remaining 5026 building owners have until May 29 to seek professional advice, to confirm whether their building features combustible cladding.
Building owners who already know or suspect their site has combustible cladding can engage a fire engineer and complete a fire safety risk assessment and fire engineer statement.
