Tasmanian broker faces court
A Tasmanian insurance broker has faced nine Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) charges in relation to dishonest conduct and failure to disclose fees and charges.
Brendan Manion has been charged with six counts of dishonest conduct for financial products and services, two counts of failing to provide written fee disclosure and one count of altering the books relating to an investigation under relevant legislation.
ASIC says the charges were issued following an investigation into Mr Manion’s brokerage.
Mr Manion was not required to enter a plea and will reappear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on July 11.
