Sydney brokers on ASIC charges
Former Sydney insurance brokers Paul and Richard Blundell of Blundell & Associates have been committed to face the District Court on 18 charges following an investigation commissioned by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
The court action is in response to the ASIC investigation into their conduct as directors. Paul Blundell is charged with three counts of fraud and one count of using a false instrument with intent.
Richard Blundell is charged with 12 counts of using a false instrument with intent, one count of fraud and one count of making false statements to obtain money. The pair will be tried separately from August 14.
