Sydney adviser faces 21 charges
A former director of Sydney-based Macquarie Towns Financial Services is facing 21 charges of dishonest misconduct. John Michael Higgins faces 15 charges brought by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission under the NSW Crimes Act of cheating or defrauding, and six counts under the Corporations Act of dishonest conduct in relation to a financial product or financial service.
Mr Higgins was a director of the company from October 1985 to October 2003. The matter will be heard before NSW’s Downing Centre Local Court on July 6.
