Standards body backs terror risk mitigation guide
Standards Australia has approved the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation’s (ARPC) risk mitigation handbook.
ARPC CEO Chris Wallace says the handbook will help commercial building owners and operators tackle physical security risks such as terror attacks and other malicious acts.
It will reference standards, government advice, industry expertise and documents from the International Organisation for Standardisation.
The ARPC says representative bodies from the insurance, commercial property, facilities, events management, local government, fire services and national security sectors are involved in the handbook’s development.
