Speakers named for global terrorism risk insurance conference
National Counter Terrorism Co-ordinator Greg Moriarty will be among the headline speakers at the Global Terrorism Risk Insurance Conference in Canberra on October 6-7.
Other local experts who will speak at the conference include Australian Federal Police National Manager Counter Terrorism Neil Gaughan and Lowy Institute Research Director Anthony Bubalo.
Hosted by the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the conference will focus on terrorism threats and how the insurance industry and terrorism risk schemes can respond to them.
The event has previously been held at OECD headquarters in Paris in 2010 and 2012 and at the US Department of Treasury in Washington in 2014.
