SA workers’ comp scheme names CEO successor

ReturnToWorkSA has announced Deputy CEO Rob Cordiner is to succeed CEO Greg McCarthy, who will retire at the end of the year.

Mr Cordiner joined ReturnToWorkSA four years ago as GM insurance.

Before that he worked for Queensland workers’ compensation regulator Q-COMP.

Mr Cordiner has helped develop the SA scheme, moving the culture from administering a medical-legal program to embracing the health benefits of work and a strong service ethic.

Chairman Jane Yuile says Mr Cordiner’s experience and leadership will be crucial as the workers’ compensation organisation continues to evolve and refine its service.

“I would like to recognise the outstanding impact Greg McCarthy has made during his time as CEO,” she said.

“His strong leadership and deep knowledge of the industry allowed the organisation to make unprecedented financial and cultural improvement during his tenure. Greg leaves a great legacy and one that I am confident Rob will maintain when he takes over as CEO.”
