SA surveys motorists as CTP reform looms
Injured motorists in SA will be surveyed about their experiences with the state’s compulsory third party (CTP) insurance scheme before it is opened to competition next year.
The voluntary survey, run by the CTP insurance regulator, will focus on customer service, including responsiveness, professionalism and quality of communication.
QBE, AAMI, SGIC and Allianz are contracted to provide CTP insurance in SA.
Open competition will be introduced next July 1, with insurers able to compete on price within parameters set by the regulator.
The Insurance Council of Australia says the survey will provide useful feedback for insurers to fine-tune their customer focus. It says other insurers will assess the results before the scheme is opened to market competition.
