Queensland has doubled its basic WorkCover premiums from $60 to $120. CEO Tony Hawkins said the $1.5 million increase rise for about the state’s 25,000 smallest businesses has been on the cards for some time, and denied there is a profit factor. Queensland has 130,000 WorkCover policyholders paying an average $4600 premium.
