Senior regulators John Price and Ian Laughlin have been made part-time members of the Financial Reporting Council.

Mr Price will represent the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, which he serves as a Commissioner, while Mr Laughlin has been reappointed to represent the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).

Mr Laughlin will become deputy chairman of APRA on July 1.

The council oversees and advises the Federal Government on the financial reporting framework.
