NZ maintains ACC levies, introduces risk pricing
The New Zealand Government has maintained some Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) levies at current rates for the next financial year, while changing risk pricing for heavy vehicles.
Average ACC levies will remain at 1.15% for work accounts, for work-related injuries, and at 1.17% on earners’ accounts, for non-work injuries incurred by employees.
In its annual report the ACC had suggested rates on the two accounts would fall this year but ACC Minister Judith Collins says the Government has considered volatility and uncertainty in world financial markets and their effect on the ACC’s assets and liabilities.
