NSW insurance regulator CEO departs
The NSW State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) says CEO Adam Dent has resigned.
Mr Dent was appointed to the role in 2021 after predecessor Carmel Donnelly was named Chair of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal.
“Mr Dent has been absent from duty since earlier this year and has recently tendered his resignation,” a SIRA spokesperson said today.
“Dr Petrina Casey will continue to act in the SIRA CEO role while we work through future arrangements.”
Before joining SIRA, Mr Dent was CEO of the NSW Trustee and Guardian. He has extensive experience across public, private and non-profit organisations.
SIRA regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW: motor compulsory third party, workers’ compensation and the home building compensation scheme.
