The Natural Disaster Insurance Review (NDIR) panel is now officially closed to all submissions following a last minute call for public comment.

While the “have your say” section still remains on the NDIR website – it says “all opinions are welcome and contributions can be as short as a few short paragraphs” – it is in fact closed to new submissions.

However, an NDIR spokesman says some requests for an extension have been approved.

This follows NDIR Chairman John Trowbridge’s comments at a recent seminar welcoming input from everyone.

“People have had interesting thoughts and strong criticisms in some areas, but we are still very interested in hearing about what they have to say,” he said.
