NIBA executive joins high-level group
National Insurance Brokers Association’s (NIBA) Professional Development Executive Linda Evans is the sole insurance representative for a new financial advice advisory panel.
The panel aims to provide views on professional and ethical standards in the financial advice industry and is considered one of the first steps towards the Federal Government’s Future of Financial Advice reforms.
Assistant Treasurer Bill Shorten says the panel will play a key role in lifting professional standards and promoting trust and confidence in the financial advice industry.
Australian Securities and Investments Commission Commissioner Greg Medcraft will chair the panel, which includes representatives from across the industry including financial advisers and stockbrokers.
