Greg Medcraft has been re-elected as Chairman of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission Chairman says he is committed to “building trust and confidence in the global markets we regulate”.

Mr Medcraft was re-elected at IOSCO’s annual conference in Rio de Janeiro, along with a 34-person board.

He became chairman in March last year, a year after the organisation created its first board.

IOSCO member groups regulate more than 95% of the world’s securities markets in more than 115 jurisdictions.
