Peter Kell, ASIC’s Executive Director of Consumer Protection, has been appointed ASIC’s Acting NSW Regional Commissioner. He replaces Jane Diplock, who has taken up a new appointmenr running the NZ Securities Commission.

Carlos Iglesias, the Executive Director of Information Technology, has also been appointed Acting Executive Director, Infrastructure and Strategic Planning. Both men will retain the responsibilities of their former positions.

Mr Kell has been with ASIC in a broad consumer protection role since 1998.  Prior to joining ASIC, he represented the Australian Consumers’ Association on a range of consumer and industry bodies in the finance sector.  Mr Iglesias, a certified practising accountant, formerly worked at the Australian Taxation Office, CPA Australia and Deloittes in a range of accounting roles.
