NSW employers can obtain quotes and renew workers’ compensation policies direct with Insurance & Care NSW (icare) from April 30.

icare started providing direct quotes and selling cover to new businesses last month, with the latest phase part of previously announced measures to overhaul the system.

More than 3000 new business owners have already bought policies direct with icare.

“We’re thrilled to have supported so many new business owners at the beginning of their journey, helping them meet one of the key requirements in kick-starting their new business dream,” icare Group Executive Workers’ Insurance John Nagle said.

“We’re now extending that support to existing business customers, with the launch of our simple, easy-to-use multi-channel tools to renew policies, anywhere, any time.

“This is about providing NSW businesses with choice, flexibility and easy-to-use options when it comes to their workers insurance.”

icare provides cover for about 284,000 NSW businesses and 3.4 million workers.
