ICA supports ACT third party changes
The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has called on the ACT Legislative Assembly to vote reforms to the territory’s compulsory third party (CTP) insurance scheme into law.
ICA says the reforms provide “a reasonable balance between the accessibility of non-economic loss damages for people seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents and the affordability of the ACT CTP scheme for motorists”.
The reforms are in the Road Transport (Third-Party Insurance) Amendment Bill 2011, which is now before the assembly.
