The Productivity Commission’s final report on natural disaster funding arrangements has been handed to the Federal Government.

Parliament convenes next Monday, and the report must be tabled within 25 sitting days.

The commission’s interim report, released last year, recommends federal natural disaster funding be capped at 50%, instead of the current 75% covered by Canberra.

It also calls for more funding for mitigation.
