The Financial Ombudsman Service has appointed Sally Davis as GM Code Compliance and Monitoring and CEO of the Code Compliance Monitoring Committee (Code of Banking Practice).

Ms Davis, who is currently Senior Manager of Systemic Issues, has worked for the service and its predecessor schemes for nearly 15 years.

She takes up the new position from Tuesday next week.

Chief Ombudsman Shane Tregillis says Ms Davis brings extensive experience in financial services and good relationships with regulators, industry and consumer groups.

The service oversees the General Insurance Code of Practice and the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice.

Its code team supports the independent committees responsible for monitoring code compliance.
