Former SA planner charged

Former Adelaide financial planner Michael Smith has been charged with fraudulently converting customers’ cheques for his own benefit.

Mr Smith – who ran Mossbrook Financial Planning – is accused of dishonestly concealing material facts between 1996 and 2002 to induce clients to deal in securities, then converting about $294,000 for personal gain.

He has been remanded on bail to April 23.
