FMA completes team with two further appointments
The New Zealand Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has finalised its strategic leadership team with two further appointments in its Auckland office.
Belinda Moffat has been appointed Head of Enforcement and Adam Hunt Head of Strategic Intelligence. Both will report to CEO Sean Hughes.
Ms Moffat replaces Nick Williams, who has been on secondment from major law firm Meredith Connell.
Mr Hughes says he is looking forward to having Ms Moffat – who will oversee investigations, forensic accounting and litigation – join the FMA early next year.
“We have inherited a heavy historical caseload in the shape of finance company investigations,” he said.
Ms Moffat is currently Head of Dispute Resolution at Westpac NZ.
Mr Hunt will develop and lead FMA’s intelligence and knowledge management services “to provide accurate and timely market knowledge with both a global and local focus”.
He is currently Director of Tax Solutions and Strategy with Oracle Corporation in New Zealand.
