Former UK Treasury deputy director Clare Bolingford will start in January as the Financial Markets Authority Director of Banking and Insurance.

She will be based in Auckland, the New Zealand regulator says in a statement.

Ms Bolingford was with the UK Treasury for two years until last June before joining the Financial Conduct Authority as head of Cross-Cutting Policy, according to her LinkedIn profile.
