First ARPC customer survey shows strong support
The Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation’s (ARPC) first customer survey has found insurers believe it is an effective provider of terrorism cover and easy to deal with.
Survey results found Australian participants, who account for 90% of ARPC’s premium income, would welcome more discussion and contact outside of insurer customer reviews and were more engaged than overseas respondents
The survey, conducted by Orima Research, has been introduced as part of the 2020-24 corporate plan, with the first results setting a baseline and providing information.
“ARPC has committed to this annual survey of our insurer customers so we can gauge feedback and make improvements that benefit customers,” CEO Christopher Wallace said.
Key findings include that 98% of respondents agree ARPC is a trusted expert on terrorism reinsurance, while 97% say it supports national resilience. Overall, 89% say it is transparent.
The ARPC is marked higher by local respondents compared to those overseas, with 92% of respondents in Australia saying it represented value for money, compared with 75% of overseas respondents.
Some 83% of Australian respondents say it supports their organisation’s financial strength compared to 55% overseas.
The ARPC says it provides a service to 225 insurance customers, of which 36 are Australian and 189 are based overseas.
