Federal parliamentary inquiry to convene in Queensland
The House of Representatives inquiry into the insurance industry’s response to extreme weather events will hold public hearings in Queensland next month.
The Social Policy and Legal Affairs Committee will hold hearings in Brisbane on the morning of September 27 and in Ipswich in the afternoon before convening in Toowoomba the next day.
All three areas were badly affected by flooding earlier this year.
Last month the committee held public hearings in WA, where it heard about the insurance response to floods and the Perth bushfires.
