Elaine Collins gets new term as ARPC director
The Federal Government has re-appointed Zurich Australia Insurance Non-Executive Director Elaine Collins to serve another three-year term as board member of the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC).
It named Jan van der Schalk, who is Environmental and Social Governance Investment Specialist with Platinum Asset Management, as part-time board member with effect from July 1.
ARPC says Ms Collins’ skills as an actuary are highly valued in administering the Terrorism Insurance Scheme.
Ms Collins was first appointed to the ARPC board in July 2015. She has a career spanning 25 years in the insurance industry in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Papua New Guinea.
She is a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is also a member of the Actuaries Institute’s Professional Standards Committee and a Professor of Practice at the University of NSW.
