Earthquake commission presents findings
The Canterbury Earthquakes Royal Commission has delivered its final report to the New Zealand Government and its public release is expected by Christmas.
The third and last part of the report includes results of the investigation into the CTV building’s collapse, which claimed 115 lives.
A summary of conclusions has been translated into Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Korean at the request of bereaved families, who are likely to see the report before its public release, according to New Zealand media.
The report was originally due by November 12 but hearings took longer than expected.
