Driverless car trial tests human reactions
A driverless vehicles trial in Canberra will examine how quickly humans can resume control of automated vehicles.
The ACT Government has partnered with driver monitoring technology company Seeing Machines on the CAN Drive trial.
The tests at Canberra’s Sutton Road training track will focus on the people inside the car, rather than the car and its outward-facing sensors.
Seeing Machines Chairman Ken Kroeger says data collected in the trial is critical to advancing safety worldwide.
