Cooper cools off at Cooma
Brad Cooper has been shifted from Sydney to a southern NSW prison to serve out the remainder of his eight-year sentence for 13 crimes. He was transferred from Silverwater jail cell to Cooma Correctional Centre, in the mountains south of Canberra.
He will be serving his time as a medium security prisoner at one of the state’s oldest, and coldest, prisons. Mr Cooper will also be able to improve his haberdashery skills through employment in the jail’s famous textiles plant.
Parole will not be heard before October 30 2010. Cooma has room for 140 inmates and 53 staff.
