Continuity rules as VMIA picks its new CEO
The Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) has appointed internal candidate Andrew Davies as CEO.
Mr Davies joined VMIA in 2015 and as chief insurance officer has had responsibility for the authority’s insurance, reinsurance, claims and insights activities.
Chairman Elana Rubin says this is the first time VMIA has appointed a CEO from within the organisation.
“As part of the team that led the development of our five-year strategy, Andrew brings vital continuity to ensuring our clients are covered, confident and connected,” she said.
Mr Davies, who assumed the role on January 1, replaces Colin Radford, who joined WorkSafe Victoria as CEO in November.
