ASIC Deputy Chair Jillian Segal has moved on to a new position as a member of the committee of inquiry into the competition provisions of the Trade Practices Act 1974 and the TPA Review.

She was in the No 2 spot at ASIC for three years. Federal Treasurer Peter Costello said last week Ms Segal’s contribution to the work of ASIC and “her tireless efforts in building and maintaining a productive and constructive relationship with both Government and industry” had done much to ensure the success of the regulator.
