Calls to slash compo premiums follow VWA megaprofit

Employers in Victoria have called for cuts to workers’ compensation premiums after the Victorian WorkCover Authority posted a record $577 million half-year insurance profit.

The Victorian Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry responded by calling on the state government to reduce premiums at the next budget.

However, the VWA incurred a $400 million slump in investment income, according to reports.
