The timeframe for individuals and organisations to make a submission about the 2019-20 bushfire season to the Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements closes tomorrow.

The commission has been seeking public submissions on Australia’s preparedness and response and recovery during natural disasters.

Commissioner Annabelle Bennett says drawing on what many Australians experienced during the recent bushfires will assist the work.

Submissions are accepted by telephone, post or via the commission’s website.

Commissioners remain committed to providing advice to the Government ahead of the 2020-21 bushfire season and are actively exploring ways to continue to engage with fire-affected communities while observing social distancing measures.
