Former responsible officer and director of NSW-based Lederman Insurance Brokers Marion Woodhouse has been permanently banned from providing financial services by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Ms Woodhouse’s banning follows a NSW Police investigation and her conviction for misappropriating $186,654.51 from the brokerage. Ms Woodhouse was sentenced to do community service and ordered to pay compensation to the company.

Accountants for Lederman Insurance reported the misappropriation to the NSW Police and ASIC through an audit report.
