ASIC to host annual forum in November

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) will host this year's forum and annual dinner on November 21-22 at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.

It is the 26th time the event will be held, and the first return to Melbourne since 2009. Early bird pricing for the event is available until October 10.

Experts will explore strategies for navigating disruption drivers such as geo-political and economic change, artificial intelligence and cyber, organisers say.

Speakers include Australian Financial Complaints Authority CEO David Locke, Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Michele Bullock, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb, ASIC Chair Joseph Longo, and Treasurer Jim Chalmers.

Australian National University School of Cybernetics Director and Intel VP Genevieve Bell will deliver a dinner address. NSW 2023 Premier’s Woman of the year Lynda Edwards and EY Australia Partner, Climate Change and Sustainability Services Emma Herd are also on the lineup.
