ASIC steps in over super funds
Liquidators have been appointed to four companies that allegedly misused their superannuation funds. ASIC alleged in the Federal Court that the four companies misused more than $3 million in super funds to support petrol stations in the Victorian towns of Moe, Morwell and Rawson.
An ASIC spokesman said the regulator sought the court orders because of concerns that the funds invested by clients were at risk.
