ASIC forum to focus on global regulatory changes
Global developments in financial sector regulation will be on the agenda when the Australian Securities and Investments Commission holds its annual forum on March 24 and 25.
A panel discussion on enforcement will include a senior executive from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions Robert Bromwich.
Australian Federal Police Assistant Commissioner Tim Morris will lead a talk on cybercrime and there will also be a discussion on identifying, evaluating and managing operational risk.
FCA CEO Martin Wheatley will discuss the role of behavioural economics in financial regulation, and how to encourage consumers to make informed decisions.
