A former Westpoint adviser has appeared in front of a Sydney local court on charges of providing advice without holding an Australian financial services licence.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission alleges Keith Rowntree advised investors on a range of products including Westpoint mezzanine company promissory notes while working at Solutions One Finance Group between 2003 and 2005.
