Karen Axford is staying on as ASIC’s South Australian Regional Commissioner. Her reappointment for three more years comes after a number of changes have occurred in the regulator’s top ranks. ASIC Chairman David Knott – himself in the top seat only since December – has altered Ms Axford’s job description to give her a national focus on insolvency matters to add to her existing tasks in that area.

Until she joined ASIC in 1998, Ms Axford was the Official Receiver in Bankruptcy for SA and the NT.
