ASIC clarifies regulation relief
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has updated its policy statement on reducing the regulatory burden on business.
The update clarifies positions on dealing with outside requests and the decision-making process. Executive Director of Regulation Malcolm Rodgers says the revision provides specific details on electronic lodging of forms.
“Where possible, we encourage people to lodge applications for relief with us electronically. This means documents get to us faster and generally enables us to make decisions on applications promptly.”
