ASIC has banned Neville Pradeepkumar Emerson from providing financial services for seven years – its 16th ban on licensed advisers involved with failed WA investment group Westpoint.

Mr Emerson advised clients to invest in promissory notes offered by Ann Street Mezzanine Pty Ltd, a company associated with Westpoint.

ASIC says an investigation found Mr Emerson attempted to disguise deficiencies in his advice and record-keeping by creating and backdating records relating to the advice he had given.
