The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has appointed Delia Rickard as Regional Commissioner for the Australian Capital Territory. She was previously Deputy Executive Director of the Consumer Protection directorate.

Before joining ASIC in 1999, Ms Rickard ran the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s consumer protection branch and also worked in the secretariat for the Wallis Inquiry into Australia’s financial system.

Ms Rickard replaces Ron Ladlay, who left ASIC in January this year at the expiry of his term.

Michael Gething’s term as WA Regional Commissioner has been extended for three years.
