ASIC accuses former broker
Former Tasmanian insurance broker Robin Brunetti has appeared in Burnie Magistrates Court on one charge of carrying on an unregistered broking business.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission says its investigations also led to Mr Brunetti being charged with one count of not having appropriate professional indemnity insurance and one of carrying on an unlicensed financial services business, in contravention of the Corporations Act.
Mr Brunetti did not enter a plea on the other charges and was bailed to appear next month.
The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions is prosecuting the case.
