The Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation has appointed Karin Rathbone as chief risk officer.

Ms Rathbone joins from fund manager Colonial First State, where she held a similar role. 

She has also previously worked with Westpac, Commonwealth Bank and BT Financial Group, and held senior positions at KPMG and Deloitte.

“As ARPC’s chief risk officer, Karin leads a team of risk professionals supporting ARPC to identify, measure and evaluate current emerging, and future risks,” CEO Christopher Wallace said. “She will work to enhance and maintain our risk management framework that aligns with our corporate plan and legislative and regulatory obligations.”
