Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation Chairman Ian Carson will take up a second three-year term in the role while two other board appointments have also been made.

Mr Carson is a partner at PwC and also co-founded food rescue business SecondBite. He begins his next term from July 1.

Assistant Treasurer Michael Sukkar said last week Robin Low, an AUB Group director with expertise in insurance accounting, has also been reappointed to the board.

Maria Fernandez, who has a background in intelligence and counter-terrorism, joins for a three-year term, effective from last Thursday.
