Former Accenture quality expert Mr John Doble has been appointed as GM of APRA’s planned Quality Assurance and Consistency Unit. He will develop “best practice” supervisory and enforcement procedures and performance benchmarks for APRA’s external accountability.

The new unit will develop and promote “best practice” supervisory and enforcement procedures throughout APRA.

It will develop uniform internal regulatory standards, set external benchmarks for supervision and enforcement, and ensure that APRA’s approach is sufficiently flexible and sophisticated to encompass all supervised entities. The unit will also consult with industry and other stakeholders on the standard of APRA’s regulatory and supervisory performance.
