The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority is seeking feedback on its proposals for integrating a new accounting standard into insurers’ prudential framework.

The regulator is also requesting information from all insurers on their preparedness for AASB 17, which will revise the accounting treatment for insurance contracts.

Closing date for submissions is November 22.
