3 December 2018
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has submitted an interim report from its northern Australia insurance inquiry to the Federal Government, a spokeswoman has confirmed.
The commission started the inquiry on July 1 last year and was instructed to deliver the first of its interim reports by Friday.
A second update will be provided at the same time next year and the final report is due by November 30 2020.
The Government is yet to say when it will release the interim report, but it could be made public before Christmas.
