New Zealand’s Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) is partnering with an innovation platform to access global insurtechs that can help improve its services.

The agreement with Plug and Play will let the corporation pilot proposals, co-invest or acquire insurtechs.

It wants to test new digital technology to speed up cumbersome processes.

“Our organisation is spending millions more on injury prevention each year and increasing our use of data analytics to determine the most effective forms of treatment for our injured clients,” CEO Scott Pickering said.

“By partnering with Plug and Play, we will have access to global start-ups with pioneering digital technology that can support and add value to the work we do for our customers.”
