New Federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has named National Party MP Luke Hartsuyker as the new Shadow Minister for Consumer Affairs, Financial Services, Superannuation and Corporate Law.

Mr Hartsuyker, who is MP for the NSW seat of Cowper, will retain his role of Deputy Manager of Opposition Business in the House of Representatives.

He replaces the former Howard government’s popular Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer Chris Pearce, who will not contest the next election.
